A Journey into the World of Ore: Schneeberg Mine (Psairer Herbst)

Hike to the Schneeberg mine with a guided tour through the tunnels and a stop at the mountain hut

Hidden in the upper Passeiertal Valley at 2,355 meters lies the historic Schneeberg mine. It was once the largest ore mining area in Europe. Since 1967, operations have ceased. Join hiking guide Franz on this exciting tour and learn first-hand about the history of mining and the tough lives of the miners.
After the ascent, we'll stop at the mountain hut in St. Martin am Schneeberg for a well-deserved lunch. Afterwards, we'll explore the adventure mine and experience the tunnels up close.

Walking time: approx. 4.5 h | Difference in altitude: approx. 680 m in ascent and approx. 800 m in descent

The event will be in German and Italian.

Accessible by public transport (bus line 239, 240 or 241) - bus stop "Moos, Rathaus/Moso, municipio".
Parking facilities on site.

Comfortable clothing suitable for the weather, as well as sufficient provisions.

The cancellation of the booked service can be made until 3 p.m. the day before.

The event will only take place in good weather. Not suitable for people with claustrophobia or allergy to mildew. The program is subject to change. Animals are allowed.
